Early June and the...

...evening rise.  Its been a good spring...a real one with rain and cool temperatures.  But, come June it was summer.  And, time to fish later in the day.  In spring some of the best fishing is mid day when the water warms to match the air temperature.  In summer fishing is still good on cooler days around or below 80 degrees...sometimes in the middle of the day.  But, there is almost always an evening rise...

New water...

Its not easy finding it after decades of fishing here.  But, it is still out there...thanks to my friend JB.  Sometimes I take him somewhere new, too.  Thats not easy, either...But, here it is.  Right under my nose...

...cow!  It seems I forgot about this place...life caught up to me.  For a general trout bum that happens once in a while.  Not completely, though.  Here are a couple of first era Heddons...a #35 and #13.  Together again after restorations from the Cane Clinic.  Oh...spring is here and fishing has been great.  Pics to follow.  I promise...
